Synopsis: Dr Jessie Marvill, a young hospital doctor, finds her work causing her to question the attitudes of those around her, and her own beliefs about the proper practice of medicine. Dr Percy Thurston struggles to give his patients proper care. He finds a bed for one of his patients to have her baby in hospital where she comes under the care of Dr Marvill. The difficult birth has disturbing results.
